Course information: The intent of this weekend course is to train leaders in the basic principles of resistance training and exercise execution. Please note: This specialty course is not intended to certify an individual as a Personal Fitness Trainer (PFT). Additional training is required.

Cancellation Information: A $60.00 cancellation fee will be charged for cancellations received on or prior to March 19, 2020. No refunds will be given for cancellations received after March 19, 2020.

Written Exam: There is a comprehensive exam at the end of the course. It is highly recommended to adequately prepare that you register on or before the deadline.
Please Note: Participants have the option to make arrangements through the FNB office to write the exam at a later date at a cost of $60.00
Course Materials: Electronic notes in PDF format are included in the course fee. Upon registration and payment of your course fees these notes will be emailed to you. The notes include, the RTL performance standards, review questions for study, exercise execution links, and the course content material with references to the ET course companion book, “The Concise Book of Muscles” Fourth Edition, Chris Jarmey and John Sharkey.
A recommended companion book (not mandatory) “Strength Training Anatomy” Third Edition Frédéric Delavier can be purchased for your own reference.

Note: This course is an extension of the Exercise Theory Course, please review your ET course notes prior to the RTL course.
RTL Practical Evaluation: All FNB Certifications require a practical evaluation within 6 months following the successful completion of the specialty course including the written exam.
In some cases an RTL candidate may have prior knowledge and experience in the specialty content. The course conductor will assess the candidates ability during the course and if they are ready a practical evaluation may be completed during the course weekend outside of the course hours.
The cost for this evaluation is included in your course fee and is valid up to 6 months after the course completion. Any evaluations booked after the 6 month deadline will cost a late fee of $20.00. Evaluations beyond 12 months following the course will cost the full evaluation fee ($50.00 for onsite, $60.00 electronic)
Booking your evaluation post course: Please contact the FNB office minimum of two weeks ahead of your evaluation to allow adequate time to secure your evaluator.
